Overview:
High fidelity CAD/CAE design tools have traditionally been used to construct virtual prototypes in order to avoid creation of costly physical prototypes. Utilizing these tools even earlier in the design process, however, can further reduce costs by designing out problems before they exist. By bringing CAD/CAE tools upstream to the conceptual design phase in PHX ModelCenter®, design problems can be addressed earlier, yielding better designs, shortened design cycles and reduced costs.
Fidelity Forward Design integrates CAD/CAE tools within PHX ModelCenter® during the conceptual design phase. This webcast will demonstrate how CAD/CAE tools can be used early in the design process to improve product designs and reduce design rework. CAD and CAE tools will be utilized in trade study processes such as sensitivity analysis, design of experiments, optimization, probabilistic and robust design studies.
