Closing the Chasm Between Engineers and Simulation Data Management

Abstract
The addition of PHX AnalysisLibrary to the NGNP Management & Analysis Systems (NDMAS) architecture allows Computational Scientists to archive their work and deliver it to a website (SharePoint) with minimal intermediary technical help, effectively allowing them to associate simulation file artifacts with peer reviewed publications for consumption by the Next-Generation Nuclear Plant (NGNP) team. It also helps to facilitate the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) audit approval due to the automatic metadata extraction from each simulation file along with the data provenance and pedigree maintained through the features present out-of-the-box in PHX AnalysisLibrary. These improvements to the already existing process ultimately help to close the chasm between engineers and simulation data management.
